Some information on the parent education program:

  1. Upon completion of the program you will receive a certificate of attendance (yellow form.)  This form is needed by the court and will be filed with all other divorce papers;
  2. Attendance is done individually.  Parents of the same child cannot attend the same program – you must attend separate programs;
  3. Martha’s Vineyard Community Services provides the Parents Apart Program here on island. This program is designed to assist parents in understanding the impact of divorce on children and provides parents with skills & tools to help their children adjust positively to the changes. For information on group time and location contact David Araujo at 508-693-7900 ext. 379.
