Conflict Resolution Day

Conflict Resolution Week is October 14 -18 and this year's Conflict Resolution Day will be October 17, 2024!

Conflict Resolution Day was conceived in 2005 by Association of Conflict Resolution to:

  • Promote awareness of mediation, arbitration, conciliation and other creative, peaceful means of resolving conflict;

  • Promote the use of conflict resolution in schools, families, businesses, communities, governments and the legal system;

  • Recognize the significant contributions of (peaceful) conflict resolvers;

  • Obtain national synergy by having celebrations happen across the country and around the world on the same day.

Advanced Mediation with Families, Juveniles, Divorcing and Separating Relationships – Session Two

Mediating keeping relationships in mind. Discussion topics include creating trust, learning the MA divorce and unmarried parent/partner legal system, creating a productive environment. This course is interactive and the topics will tailored based on the experience level and interests of participants.  Only for experienced mediators.

Workplace Conflict Management Course — Session Five

Join managers and supervisors in a weekly confidential cohort.  Participants receive support and insight into their workplace dilemmas and utilize the case study model in an interactive and participatory process. 

This 10-session course uses the book:  Conflict Management in the Workplace: How to manage disagreements and develop trust and understanding by Shay and Margaret McConnon.

Session will be held by Zoom video conferencing and in partnership with the Martha’s Vineyard Chamber of Commerce. The course will be facilitated by Sara Barnes, MVMP Lead Mediator.
